Google Art Project

Today Google and 17 art museums worldwide released the Google Art Project, a website where you can view super high resolution images of some of the most famous works in each collection, as well as take 360 tours of the galleries. This is a pretty big deal in the art world; it makes thousands of images of works of art available on one website, and it allows anyone anywhere in the world to explore museum spaces as well as the history of a huge number of works. You can even sign in and create your own "artwork collection" by saving works from any of the museums.

Click on the image of the Frick's St. Francis in the Desert by Giovanni Bellini (the featured work that they chose to be available in super high resolution) to go to the Frick Collection's section of the Google Art Project.
