Photos from Palermo and Cefalù

Slowly making my way through the 1000+ pictures I took...yes, it was that many. Luckily that includes lots of blurry pictures that can be deleted! Here are some of the best from Palermo and Cefalù, which I described in this entry and this one.

Our plane at JFK before take-off.

Right after landing in Palermo - our tour bus with Mt. Pellegrino in the back.

I Quattro Canti (four corners with fountains) in Palermo.

Palermo's Cathedral

Monreale's Cathedral

Palermo's Opera House, the 3rd largest in Europe

Cloisters in Monreale.

(Fake) horse and cart in Monreale.

Rocky waters of Cefalù.

Cefalù's main piazza and cathedral (in the left corner).

Beach in Cefalù

The town of Cefalù with its mountain behind it. Cefalù means "head" in (ancient?) Greek, because the Greeks thought this mountain looked like the head of a god lying down in the sea.
